Viva loans at a glance
“Viva loans” is the everyday name people use when they’re looking for a fast personal or payday-style loan from a “Viva”-branded service. In practice, the term points to three separate companies — VIVA Finance, Viva Payday Loans and Vivaloan — plus independent request services like VivaLoanApp that help you reach lenders with a single form.
What they have in common is the job they do: getting $100 to a few thousand dollars to someone who needs it quickly, often someone whose credit history makes a traditional bank loan hard to get. What separates them is how they do it. One lends directly through employers, two match you with lenders in a network, and the cost depends heavily on which path you take.
VivaLoanApp sits in the matching category. You tell us how much you need and a few details about your income and bank account, and we share that request with lenders and lending partners. If a lender can help, it shows you its own offer — APR, fees, payment schedule — and you decide. We never lend, never charge you, and never require you to accept anything.

From request to deposit in three steps
Instead of filling out the same application on five different lender sites, you complete one request. Lenders in our network review it and decide whether they can make you an offer.
Submit one request
Choose an amount between $100 and $5,000 and answer questions about your income, bank account and contact details. Most people finish in about five minutes.
Get matched with a lender
Your request goes to lenders and lending partners who may be able to help. If one can make an offer, you are usually redirected to its site to review it.
Review, sign, get funded
Read the APR, fees and payment schedule. If it works for your budget, e-sign the agreement. Funds may arrive as soon as the next business day.
What happens after you send a Viva loan request
Every lender moves at its own pace, but most requests follow the same path. Here’s what to expect, and when.
- Minutes 0–5
You complete the request
Choose your amount, then share income, bank and contact details. Double-check your routing and account numbers — a typo is one of the easiest delays to avoid.
- Within minutes
Lenders review it
Lenders in our network check whether your request fits their criteria, often starting with a soft credit inquiry. If one can make an offer, you’re usually redirected to its website to see it.
- Same day
You review the offer
The lender shows its Truth in Lending disclosure: APR, finance charge, amount financed and total of payments. It may also call, email or ask for a pay stub or bank statement to verify details.
- When you’re ready
You e-sign — or walk away
If the terms fit your budget, you sign electronically. If they don’t, close the page. There is no fee and no penalty for saying no to an offer.
- As soon as next business day
Funds are deposited
Lenders typically send money by ACH to your checking account. Signing earlier on a business day usually means faster funding; weekends and bank holidays add time.
- On your schedule
You repay the lender
Payments come out on the dates in your agreement, usually by automatic withdrawal. Put the due dates in your calendar and keep enough in the account to avoid returned-payment fees.
Three “Viva” names, three different businesses
When people search for viva loans, they are usually looking for one of three companies that happen to share a word. They work in very different ways, and mixing them up makes it easy to read the wrong reviews or apply for a product you don’t qualify for. Here is the short version, based on each company’s public materials as of 2026.
| VIVA Finance | Viva Payday Loans | Vivaloan | VivaLoanApp | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | Direct lender (Atlanta, GA) | Loan-matching / broker site | Personal loan marketplace | Independent loan-request service |
| Amounts | Up to $15,000 per its site | $100–$5,000 advertised | $100–$15,000 advertised | $100–$5,000 requests |
| How approval works | Based mainly on employment; usually repaid by payroll deduction | Lenders in its network decide | Lenders in its network decide | Lenders in our network decide |
| Key catch | Your employer must be an eligible partner | Rates set by whichever lender matches | Not offered in every state | Not a lender; offers not guaranteed |
| Cost to use the site | Loan cost shown as APR | Free to request | Free to request | $0 |
Which one should you use?
If your employer partners with VIVA Finance, its payroll-deduction loans can be a lower-cost choice than many short-term options, because underwriting leans on your job rather than your credit score. If your employer isn’t on its list, that product simply isn’t available to you.
Matching services — including Viva Payday Loans, Vivaloan and VivaLoanApp — take one request and show it to several lenders. The advantage is reach: one form instead of many. The trade-off is that the rate depends on the lender that responds, so the APR in your offer is the number to compare.
Plain-English disclosure: VivaLoanApp is not affiliated with VIVA Finance, Viva Payday Loans or Vivaloan. We built this site so people searching “viva loans” have an honest comparison and a straightforward way to request offers. Which “Viva” option fits you?
Answer three questions and we’ll point you to the option that fits your situation — including ones that aren’t us.
Viva payday loans vs. viva personal loans
The two loan types people search for most under the Viva name work very differently. A payday loan is a small, single-payment loan due on your next payday. A personal installment loan is repaid in equal payments over several months. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau notes that a typical two-week payday fee of $15 per $100 borrowed works out to an APR of almost 400% — so the structure matters as much as the amount.
| Payday-style loan | Personal installment loan | |
|---|---|---|
| Typical amount | Often $500 or less | A few hundred to several thousand dollars |
| Repayment | One lump sum, usually in 2–4 weeks | Equal payments over months (commonly 2–24 in our network) |
| How cost is charged | Flat fee per $100 borrowed | Interest on the balance, plus any origination fee |
| Typical cost | Very high APR when annualized | APR commonly 5.99%–35.99% in our network; higher for some short-term lenders |
| Main risk | Rolling over or re-borrowing to repay the first loan | Choosing a long term that adds a lot of interest |
| Legal status | Banned or tightly capped in many states | Available in most states, with state-set limits |
| Best for | A very small gap you can repay in full on payday | A larger one-time expense you need to spread out |
Not sure which you need? If paying the whole balance back on your next payday would leave you short again, an installment structure is usually the safer choice. Learn more about viva payday loans and viva personal loans.

Is a Viva loan right for you?
Fast loans are a tool, not a fix for every money problem. A quick, honest check before you request can save you a lot more than the interest.
Usually a reasonable fit
- You have a one-time expense — a car repair, a deposit, an urgent bill — that can’t wait.
- You have steady income and can see exactly how the payment fits your budget.
- You’ve checked cheaper options (payment plan, credit union, employer advance) first.
- You plan to borrow only what you need and repay on schedule — or early.
Probably not the right move
- You’re covering the same shortfall every month — the gap usually grows.
- You’d need a new loan to repay an existing one.
- Your income is uncertain over the next few months.
- You need more than $5,000 or want to build credit cheaply — a credit union loan or credit-builder product may serve you better.
What a Viva-style loan could really cost
Lenders quote the cost of a loan as an annual percentage rate (APR), which rolls interest and most fees into one yearly number. Federal law — the Truth in Lending Act — requires the lender to show you the APR, the finance charge and the total of payments before you sign.
Personal installment lenders in our network commonly disclose APRs between 5.99% and 35.99%. Short-term and small-dollar lenders can charge considerably more where state law permits, which is why the APR on your actual offer matters more than any advertised range.
Representative example: $2,000 borrowed for 12 months at 29.22% APR works out to 12 monthly payments of about $194.21. You’d repay about $2,330.49 in total, of which about $330.49 is interest. Example only, not an offer.
Use the calculator to test different amounts and terms. A longer term lowers the monthly payment but raises the total interest, so pick the shortest term your budget can comfortably handle. More detail is on our rates & terms page.

What most lenders ask for
Every lender sets its own rules, but most requests come down to the same basics. Having these ready makes the form quicker and helps lenders verify you without back-and-forth.
Lenders also look at whether the payment fits your income. A steady deposit history in your checking account can matter as much as your credit score, especially for smaller amounts. If you’re self-employed or receive benefits, some lenders accept that income — just be ready to show it.
Full requirements and state availability

- Age 18 or older (or the age of majority in your state) and a U.S. resident
- Regular income from a job, self-employment or benefits
- An active checking account in your own name for deposits and payments
- Valid email and phone number so lenders can reach you
- Your Social Security number, which lenders use to confirm identity and check credit
State availability and borrower protections
Small-dollar lending in the U.S. is regulated mostly at the state level. That’s why a lender may offer you $1,500 in one state and nothing at all in another, and why the same product can cost very different amounts depending on where you live. Requests through VivaLoanApp are not available in every state, and lenders can only lend where they’re licensed.
Things that commonly vary by state:
- Whether payday-style loans are allowed at all
- Maximum loan amounts and fee or APR caps
- How many times a loan can be renewed or rolled over
- Cooling-off periods between loans and required payment plans
- Which lenders must be licensed, and by which agency
You can look up any lender’s license with your state’s financial regulator. See our requirements page for more on eligibility.
Federal protections for consumer loans
- Truth in Lending Act (TILA)
- The lender must disclose the APR, finance charge, amount financed and total of payments before you sign.
- Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA)
- Lenders can’t discriminate based on race, religion, sex, marital status, age or because you receive public assistance.
- Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
- If you’re denied because of your credit report, you’re entitled to an adverse action notice and a free copy of that report.
- Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA)
- You can stop a recurring automatic payment by notifying your bank at least three business days before it’s scheduled.
- Military Lending Act (MLA)
- Active-duty servicemembers and covered dependents are protected by a 36% Military Annual Percentage Rate cap.
How much should you borrow?
The best amount is the smallest one that solves the problem. Borrowing $300 more than you need can add weeks of payments. These pages walk through typical costs and alternatives at each level.

Alternatives to viva loans worth checking
The cheapest loan is often the one you don’t need. Before you submit a request, take five minutes to see whether one of these fits — and come back if none do.
Credit union PALs
Federal credit unions offer Payday Alternative Loans: PAL I from $200 to $1,000 over 1–6 months, and PAL II up to $2,000 over 1–12 months, with APR capped at 28%.
Employer pay advances
Some employers offer payroll advances or earned-wage access through HR. Check the fees, but these are often cheaper than a short-term loan.
Payment plans
Utilities, hospitals and many landlords will set up a payment plan if you call before the due date. Ask whether any fee applies.
Cash advance apps
Apps can advance a small part of your next paycheck. Watch for subscription fees, express-transfer fees and “tips,” which can add up.
Nonprofit credit counseling
NFCC member agencies offer free or low-cost budgeting help and debt management plans if bills have stacked up.
Local assistance
Dial 211 to find local help with rent, utilities, food and other emergency costs in your area.
Still need to borrow? Start your request and compare any offer against these options before you sign.
A loan should solve a problem, not start a new one
Short-term credit works best for a one-time expense you can repay on schedule. If you’re borrowing to cover regular bills month after month, a loan usually makes the gap bigger, not smaller.
Before you request, check whether a cheaper option fits: a payment plan with the company you owe, a payroll advance from your employer, or a Payday Alternative Loan (PAL) from a federal credit union, which is capped at 28% APR. Free help is also available from nonprofit credit counselors through the NFCC, or by dialing 211.
Read our responsible lending notes

- Never pay an upfront fee to “unlock” a loan — legitimate lenders take fees out of the loan or the payments.
- Be wary of anyone promising guaranteed approval before seeing your information.
- Read the APR and total of payments, not just the monthly amount.
- Make sure the lender is licensed in your state — your state regulator lists licensees.
Loan terms you’ll see in an offer
Loan agreements use specific language. Knowing these terms makes it much easier to compare offers side by side.
- APR (annual percentage rate)
- The yearly cost of a loan, including interest and most fees, expressed as a percentage. The best single number for comparing offers.
- Finance charge
- The total dollar cost of the credit — interest plus fees — over the life of the loan.
- Amount financed
- The money you actually receive after any prepaid fees are taken out.
- Total of payments
- Everything you will have paid by the end of the loan if you pay on schedule.
- Origination fee
- A one-time fee for processing the loan, often deducted from what you receive.
- Installment loan
- A loan repaid in equal, scheduled payments over a set number of months.
- Soft inquiry
- A credit check that doesn’t affect your score. Many lenders use one to pre-screen requests.
- Hard inquiry
- A full credit check for final approval. It can lower your score by a few points for a while.
- ACH authorization
- Your permission for the lender to deposit funds and withdraw payments from your bank account electronically.
- Prepayment penalty
- A fee for paying a loan off early. Many installment lenders don’t charge one — check your agreement.
- NSF fee
- A “non-sufficient funds” fee your bank or lender may charge if a payment bounces.
- Loan-matching service
- A company, like VivaLoanApp, that shares your request with lenders but doesn’t lend money itself.
Viva loans FAQ
Is “viva loans” one company?
No. “Viva loans” is a search term people use for three unrelated services: VIVA Finance, an employment-based direct lender; Viva Payday Loans, a loan-matching site; and Vivaloan, a personal loan marketplace. VivaLoanApp is a separate, independent request service that connects you with lenders for $100 to $5,000.
Is VivaLoanApp a lender?
No. VivaLoanApp does not lend money or make credit decisions. We pass your request to third-party lenders and lending partners. If a lender makes an offer, that lender sets the APR, fees and repayment schedule and gives you the loan agreement.
How much can I request?
You can request between $100 and $5,000. The amount a lender offers depends on your income, state rules, and the lender’s own criteria, so it may be lower than what you asked for.
Does it cost anything to use VivaLoanApp?
No. Submitting a request is free and you are never required to accept an offer. If you take a loan, the cost is set by the lender and shown as an APR and finance charge in the lender’s disclosure before you sign.
Can I get a Viva loan with bad credit?
Some lenders in the network consider applicants with fair or poor credit and look at income and banking history as well as your score. Approval is never guaranteed, and lower credit usually means a higher APR, so compare the total cost carefully.
Will submitting a request hurt my credit score?
Many lenders start with a soft inquiry, which does not affect your score. A lender may run a hard inquiry before final approval, which can lower your score by a few points. Ask the lender which type of check it uses.
How fast could I get the money?
If a lender approves you and you accept the offer, funds may arrive as soon as the next business day. Timing depends on the lender, the time of day you sign, and how quickly your bank posts deposits.
Is VivaLoanApp affiliated with VIVA Finance or Viva Payday Loans?
No. VivaLoanApp is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by VIVA Finance, Inc., Viva Payday Loans (Payday Ventures Limited), or Vivaloan.com. We mention them only so you can understand the differences and choose what fits you.
Do I need a job to get a Viva loan?
You need a regular source of income, but it doesn’t always have to be a traditional job. Some lenders accept self-employment, gig work, retirement or benefit income if it is deposited regularly and you can document it. VIVA Finance is different: its loans require an eligible employer.
Which states can I request from?
Requests are not available in every state, and lenders can only offer loans where they are licensed. Each state sets its own limits on amounts, fees and renewals, so the offers you see depend on where you live. The form will tell you if your state isn’t served.
Can I pay a loan off early?
Many installment lenders allow early payoff without a penalty, which reduces the total interest you pay. Check the prepayment section of your loan agreement before you sign, and ask the lender for a payoff quote when you’re ready.
What happens if I can’t make a payment?
Contact your lender before the due date. Many lenders can move a payment date or set up a plan, but missed payments can bring late fees, returned-payment fees from your bank, collection activity and damage to your credit. Never take a new loan just to cover an old one without comparing the total cost.
How is my information protected?
The request form is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection and shared only with lenders, lending partners and service providers as described in our Privacy Policy. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time and California residents can use our Do Not Sell or Share page.
How do I stop calls or texts after I submit?
Reply STOP to any text message to opt out of texts from that sender, and ask any caller to place you on their do-not-call list. You can also email [email protected] to opt out of messages from VivaLoanApp. Lenders you already applied with may still contact you about an active application.
