Scope of this policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026.

This Privacy Policy applies to vivaloanapp.com and the loan request form offered on it. VivaLoanApp is an independent online loan-request service. We are not a lender, we do not make credit decisions, and we do not set rates or terms. When you submit a request, it is passed to third-party lenders and lending partners who may review it and make an offer.

Each lender that receives your request has its own privacy policy. Once a lender has your information, its policy governs how it uses that data. Read the lender’s notices before you accept any offer. For the full picture of how a request moves, see How It Works.

Information we collect

We collect two kinds of information: what you give us in the request form, and what your browser or device sends automatically when you visit.

Information you submit

Our request form is operated with the help of a form and technology provider. Depending on the fields shown to you, you may submit:

  • Name, email address and phone number
  • Home address and length of residence
  • Date of birth
  • Social Security number, which lenders usually request to verify identity and check credit
  • Employment details, income amount and pay frequency
  • Bank account and routing details, so a lender can deposit funds and set up repayment if you accept an offer
  • Requested loan amount (from $100 to $5,000) and loan purpose

Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser type, device type and operating system
  • Pages viewed, referring site, time on page and clicks
  • Cookie identifiers and similar tracking data
  • Approximate location derived from your IP address

Information from other sources

We or our service providers may receive information from identity verification services, fraud prevention databases and lenders, for example whether a request was reviewed or a submission looks duplicated. We may also receive limited data from advertising partners about which ad led you to the site.

We do not knowingly collect information beyond what is needed to process a request, run the site and meet legal duties. Under California law, your SSN, bank account details and precise identity data count as sensitive personal information. We use them only to pass your request to lenders, verify identity and prevent fraud.

How we use and share information

We use your information to:

  • Pass your loan request to lenders and lending partners who may make an offer
  • Verify that your request is complete and help prevent fraud
  • Send you messages about your request, as described in our E-Consent terms
  • Measure and improve site performance
  • Comply with laws, court orders and regulator requests

We share information with these groups:

RecipientWhy they receive it
Lenders and lending partnersTo review your request, check identity and credit, and decide whether to make an offer
Service providersForm hosting, data verification, fraud screening, email delivery, analytics and site hosting
Government and legal authoritiesWhen required by law, subpoena or to protect rights and safety
A buyer or successorIf the site or business is sold, merged or transferred

Lenders that receive your request may run a soft credit inquiry, and some may run a hard inquiry before final approval. Our Disclosures page explains this in more detail.

GLBA, cookies and analytics

The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) sets privacy rules for financial institutions, including how they share nonpublic personal information. Lenders in the network are responsible for their own GLBA privacy notices, which they give you when you become their customer. Where GLBA applies to information we handle, we follow its requirements, and that information may be exempt from some state privacy laws.

Cookies and similar tools

We use cookies, pixels and similar tools to keep the form working, remember preferences, measure traffic and understand which pages help visitors. Some of these tools come from analytics or advertising partners, who may collect data about your visit across sites.

  • Essential cookies keep the form and site running.
  • Analytics cookies count visits and show how pages are used.
  • Advertising cookies help measure ad campaigns.

When you first visit, a cookie notice lets you accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies, and you can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Advertising cookies stay off unless you accept them. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out and turn off analytics and advertising cookies for that browser.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop the request form from working.

Retention and security

We keep information only as long as needed to process requests, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal and record-keeping duties. When it is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for form submissions and limited access to data. No website or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot promise that information will never be accessed without permission. Use a private device and network when you submit sensitive data.

Your choices

  • Emails: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
  • Texts: reply STOP to any text message to opt out.
  • Cookies: adjust your browser settings or use a Global Privacy Control signal.
  • Lender contact: contact each lender directly to opt out of its communications.

Opting out of marketing does not stop messages we must send about a request you submitted.

You can also choose not to submit a request at all. Browsing the site and reading guides such as Rates and Terms does not require you to give us your name, SSN or bank details. If you start the form and stop before submitting, we do not pass a request to lenders, although your browser may still send standard analytics data.

California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), gives you these rights, subject to legal exceptions:

  • Right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose and share, and the categories of sources and recipients
  • Right to delete personal information we collected from you
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information, including sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information, such as your SSN or bank account details, to purposes the law allows
  • Right to non-discrimination, meaning we will not deny service or charge different prices because you used your rights

Sharing a loan request with lenders may count as a sale or sharing under California law. To opt out, visit Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. To make any other request, email [email protected]. We will verify your identity before acting and respond within 45 days, with one 45-day extension allowed when we tell you why.

An authorized agent may submit a request for you with your signed permission. We do not offer financial incentives tied to your personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

Other states, children and contact

Other state privacy laws

Residents of other states with consumer privacy laws, such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and Oregon, may have similar rights to access, correct, delete and opt out. Email us with your request and state of residence. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the word “Appeal” in the subject line.

Children

This site is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. Questions? Email [email protected] or see our Contact page.

Frequently asked questions

Does VivaLoanApp sell my information?

We share loan requests with lenders and lending partners so they can review them, and California law may treat that as a sale or sharing. California residents can opt out on our Do Not Sell or Share page. Opting out may mean lenders cannot receive your request.

Why does the form ask for my SSN and bank details?

Lenders usually need your SSN to confirm identity and check credit, and bank details to deposit funds and collect payments if you accept an offer. VivaLoanApp does not make lending decisions with this data.
